I was also LabView 2020 Community Beta 3 user, now I can't activate the released version. Can someone please help?

Note that I have downloaded the ISO twice.

Don't download Beta 3.

Download the actual released version which was released May 18.

When you activate, made sure you are logged into NI.com with the same username you used to download the installation files.

Just to add context.

I am using VirtualBox and have (it is still installed) LabView Community 2020 Beta 3 on a different snapshot. I restored a base OS snapshot with the same computer name and installed LabView Community 2020 - it is not activiting the license.

Yes, I did just that @RavensFan.

This is what I did.

1. Login to ni.com

2. Download LabView 2020 Community

3. Install

I will try this one more time just in case I did something wrong.

Just to document my install experience.

1. Re-logged in to ni.com

2. Downloaded LabView 2020 Community Edition

3. Installed

4. Tried to active using NI License Manager 4.6

Not working.

Next steps:

1. Created a new NI account.

2. Download LabView 2020 Community Edition - this creates an entry into your account for Community License

3. Using the machine that I have already installed LabView above, logged in using the new account

4. Activate - this works

So, it seems like old users with LabView 2020 Community Beta is somehow unable to activate.

I don't really want to use another account, can someone from NI help fix this? Is there a way to remove the old license from my account?

That may seem like a reasonable conclusion until you consider how many people besides you (myself included) have participated in the beta and haven't had this issue.

Have you tried spinning up the old VM and deactivating it, then downloading and activating it on the new VM?  (Downloading from your preferred account, of course.)

I tried to de-activate but this is not showing up for LabView 2020 Community Beta 3.

I looked at other posts about de-activating, the buttons are not vissible for me. Do I have to do anything to make it show up?

It should show up in License manager.  That is where you should be able to deactivate it.

Should it show up here?
