Labview 7.0 Express use/activation

For home use, if I purchase 'Labview 7.0 Express Student Edition w/ 7.1 Update' from Amazon.com, do I have to be a student to activate or is there any activation required.  Thanks.

Ethically speaking, you probably should be a student.  I didn't realize you could buy it from Amazon.  I learn something new every day.

Actually, you should contact your local NI representative with that question.

The LabVIEW Student Edition is available to students, faculty, and staff for personal educational use only. Commercial, institutional, research, or professional use is strictly prohibited. You must be a student attending an affiliated/accredited academic institution. It is primarily for personal student use.  All usage of the LV Student Edition is related to academia.

If you are not a student, you can also evaluate LabVIEW online, without having to install it on your computer, at http://www.ni.com/trylabview/ .
