LabView conflict with Microsoft .NET Runtime

I installed Labview 8.0 on my Dell Laptop, which runs Windows XP media center edition. When I try to run the labview program, I get an error message, that says

Runtime Error!

R6029

This Application cannot run using the active version of the Microsoft .NET Runtime

please contact the application's support team for more information.

how can I get LabView 8.0 to run on my laptop?

There the problem has been fixed by reinstalling the .NET framework!
