LabView Run-time + Computer Vision Run-Time + "source distribution"

We are trying to run our Labview 2017 application on other pc's w/o only Labview Runtime Engine. Our application makes use of Vision module. For this, we understood we need to buy vision deployment module for the other pc's.

However apart from that, we have those questions:

  1. Can we deploy our application as "source distribution" (=or in other words: is source distribution option available for vision module or not?) If not, is only standalone executable (.exe) supported?
  2. If only executable is supported, are there still ways to purchase "application builder" for Labview 2017? And if yes, how?

If you are just acquiring images, you can use the Vision Acquisition Software which might be free. If I recall, if it is a NI brand camera, the VAS license is included. If you are doing machine vision (identifying patterns, etc) you need the Vision Development Module (VDM). In either case, if you want to transfer the hardware to a new computer you will either need to use your NI credentials on that computer, or transfer the license to another NI account associated with that computer.

You can use the NI Licence Manager to see which licenses you have and their status on the development computer.

Thanks for your feedback, Steven!
Actually we are using the Vision module to do image recognition on the captured images. Also we are not using NI brand camera’s.
So our inquiry is on how to run the software we developed on pc 1, on our pc2.
Intention was to use “source distribution”, as we seem not to have “application builder”, but we are unsure if “source distribution” is compatible with “vision deployment module”.

Could somebody confirm that?
If it is not compatible, we would also like to know if we can still buy application builder for Labview 2017 (w/o service contract) to avoid that we need to upgrade our application to newer version of Labview.
Thanks!
