I currently develop LabView applications on a Windows XP / LabView 8.0 machine. Will LabView 8.0 built applications be compatible with Windows Vista computers? I suppose the real question is if the 8.0 or 8.0.1 runtime engine will work on Vista.
This has been asked numerous times on this forum. A search would have yielded the following answer: LabVIEW 8.2.1 is compatible with Vista. LabVIEW 8.0 is not "officially" compatible, though it has been known to work by anectodal reports.
The search engine is flaky at times. You just need to make sure the search scope is set to "NI Developer Zone". Setting to "Entire Site" does not yield anything meaningful. The problems with the search engine have been reported to NI numerous times.
