LabView 8.0.1 Bug: Menu item "View->Browse Relationships-> Unopened SubVIs" does not scroll

I use all text function and control palettes. When text function and control palettes are used, LabView uses a text list for the "Unopened SubVIs" submenu of the "Browse Relationships" subMenu in the new View menu.

In previous versions of LabView, the Unopen SubVIs list would scroll. Annoyingly, it did not accept key navigation like a listbox, but at least it would accept "page up" and "page down". It was clunky but workable.

In LabView 8.0.1, this menu is completely broken. It no longer scrolls, so if your menu of subVIs is longer than your screen is tall, you cannot reach any of the later routines. My application has about 900 subVIs so I can only open routines that start with A through B.

This is LabView 8.0.1 on Windows XP SP2

p.s. I'm trying very hard to stick to actual bugs rather than complaining about design issues, but it is certainly frustrating to have LabView 8 AGAIN add an additional level of menus everywhere. You are not doing our wrists any favors by taking things out of the top level menus!

Hello Rob,

Unfortunately I don't believe we were aware of this bug, sorry for the problems it has caused you.  I have reported it to the appropriate person on the LabVIEW R&D team, but at this stage can make no promises as to when it will be fixed.

The document ID for the bug report I filed is 3ZQ6HH1W.

Thanks for reporting the issue, and sorry again for the inconvenience.

Hi Rob,

I checked up on that CAR (3ZQ6HH1W) for you, and unfortunately it is still slated to be fixed in a future release of LabVIEW.  There is no specific release date given.  I am sorry about the inconvenience this has caused you.
