@Sergio
About a decade ago, we Champions of LabVIEW asked for a cleanup of the examples provided by NI. DNatt gave us almost everything, and rigorous style practices for examples. I strongly believe that the LabVIEW 2013 example folder has been a force for LabVIEW adoption.
I will not debate that there are objects in LabVIEW vi.lib that suffer from poor quality. Those debates have been heard and seen by this community. Examples; TBD.vi meets no acceptable style. All prompts still use polling, no "Path to pallet " for third party ever existed.
Cleanup of the example code took less than 1 year. That effort changed outsiders view of LabVIEW from a Spaghetti to a seriously considered language..

As I keep harping, everything in the LabVIEW IDE that is written in G should be open sourced. It would then be on the steering committees and contributors for each part to work on the cleanup/refactoring.
