LabVIEW student version problem

Solved!
Go to solution

I downloaded the LabVIEW student version but I could not open the program. I clicked check my account for licenses but I got an error ''Activation failed due to server error'' like that. How can I proof that ı am student, how can I activate my student licenses. Is there any way to do this?

If you have a serial number and your internet connection is good, but you are getting this error, the best thing to do would be to call your local NI support number. They will help you resolve it.

You can also try generating activation codes as an alternative method of activating:

Hope that helps!

Did you purchase the student version, or does your school supply it to you? You should have a serial number or network license from one of those.

I just wanted to clarify, that being a student does not give you free access to the student version. Someone (you or your university) still has to pay for it. However, if you are just exploring LabVIEW for fun or hobby projects, you can use the community edition for free. If your teacher requires it for your class, you do have to use the student version.
