I am doing some historical research on icon use in software, and I'd really like to get a copy of LabVIEW Version 1, and/or the user's manual that went with it (Part# 320079-01).
Can anybody out there help me??? I've looked for it in many universities' online library catalogs, looked on eBay, and I've searched the web to a great extent. I called NI to see if they had an old copy in their archives, all to no avail!
I'd be much obliged if anyone out there had copies of this they could discuss with me, or any clues about where else to look.
I have manuals for LV 1. Part Number 320079-01,-02,-03 (DSP Library for Macintosh II) and 320079-11 (LabDriver, Version 2.0). These were published in June and July 1988. They are the originals in 4 three-ring binders. I may have the disks, but they are not as accessible and I did not go digging for them.
I also have LV 2.2.1, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.0.2, 7.0, 7.1.1 with most of the manuals.
Thank you for your response! You have quite a collection! Is there any chance you could dig up the disks for Version 1? That's the one I'm most interested in, as the feature I'm looking at changes from Version 1 to Version 2.
I'd like to email with you further about it--would it be possible to email you? If not I can continue posting here. I can be emailed at hperilloux@yahoo.com. Feel free to email me there, or I will check back here.
