LabVIEW 7.1 compatibility issue

I've been updating some computers here to LabVIEW 7.1 and trying to run VI files that worked well with LabView 6.1. The only thing is that I keep getting a bunch of errors that popup before the program opens. And then when it does finally open, many of the links are broken making the program not executable. The errors just mention stuff about there being a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) Initialization Routine Failure. This might be a problem with the new computer possibly not having all of the proper and appropriate subVI files installed. But as of now, efforts to install all of the subVIs have been unsuccessful in solving this problem. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions about how to handle this, let me know.

What is the exact error numbers that appear and what DLLs aren't being initialized? Did you install the hardware drivers from the 2 separate CDs? Did your old programs use any add-on toolkits? My best guess would be the hardware drivers (NI-DAQ, NI-GPIB, etc. but need more details. could you post a small VI that isn't loading correctly?

Hi,

I was wondering if some body could help me some ways in validating Labview 7.1. I'm pretty new to validating In-built softwares, custom softwares. So, I'm actually looking to use some help.

Thanks,

You need to start a new tread to ask this question. This thread is from 2005.

Post your new message here:

You will also need to be more spacific about what you mean by validating 7.1. Tell us what you did and what you are trying to do. What is not working.... that kind of information.

Thanks for the reply. I'm actually validating an inhouse app. i've very limited resources in understanding the application. So, I was actually looking for some help such as any kind of templates for requirements & IQ/OQ/PQ.
