Does it make a difference whether I have MAX running or not? Yes is makes a huge difference
it takes about a 1.5 minues for the front panel to be displayed without MAX started and instantly
when its opened with the following expanded;


My System\Devices and Interfaces\Traditional NI-DAQ Devices\...(device list)

My question was really addressed to Neal. I am wondering if he gets the same behavior as you when he opens or does not open MAX. It would also help to know a little more about your setup JD2. Hardware and software.
