LabVIEW 2012 FPGA Module f1 Patch

Hello,

after a complete reinstallation of my working laptop LabView also needed to be installed again. My previous setup was LabView 2009 SP1, LabView 2010 SP1 and LabView 2012 SP1, all three including Realtime + FPGA. So i started my installation marathon on friday afternoon. On Sunday I was finished with all SP1 updates. Today my NI Updater searched for updates and found some critical ones, among them "LabVIEW 2012 FPGA Module f1 Patch". I proceeded to download and install this patch, but right after the patch installer started it says it cannot install the patch because LabView 2012 FPGA is needed for that. Hello? Why would the Updater suggest the patch if not because that to be patched piece of software is present on my system? Despite this I check it and yepp, FPGA 2012 is on my system.

I tried to run repair on that FPGA 2012 from my NI Software setup. Didn't help. Now I try to completly deinstall everything 2012 and start again.

Need to mention it's not the first time i deinstalled 2012 after my installation start on friday. I accidentally installed LV2012 german and noticed this when I tried to install english SP1.

By the way, is there any proper way to deinstall anything LV2012 related other than guessing which components from the NI installed software list are relevant for this?

regards

Thomas

Try installing the f1 patch for LV 2012 SP1. The patch you mentioned was for LV 2012 (not SP1).

No, the link you provided is for "LabVIEW 2012 SP1 FPGA Compile Worker f1 Patch" which I doubt is the same as "LabVIEW 2012 FPGA Module f1 Patch". Despite the SP1 difference those 2 patches address different problems.

I now deinstalled LV2012 completly and installed it again. Befor applying the SP1 upgrade I downloaded the patch and I was able to install it. After that I installed SP1.

I ask myself why the NI Updater suggests a critical patch for LV 2012 which cannot be installed if SP1 is installed!
