Lab View 8 Under GPO

Case: Lab computers (XP) in a university engineering labs. Students login under Domain Users group with GPO (Group Policy) attached.

Problem: Error message during initialization of Lab View (error: don't have permission to read...).

Request:

1. Best pratice that will not compermise GPO (giving admin right to c:\Program Files is not acceptable).

may not be the best idea:
What about installing Labview at a different place, like D:\Programs\NatInst ?
