Man, my very own bug!  This feels like a coming of age tale.

I don't know if Ben is using 8.5 or 8.5.1, but I opened in 8.5.1 and it worked just fine.  I opened the control and Readback VI, and when I changed Max Flow to Max flow 1, the change propgated.

Looking at the 8.5.1 bug fixes, Item 4AKFM1J1 is the exact problem you are having.

Jeff, Congrats on your first bug (found, not created!)

I really like LVOOP but bugs like these scare me a bit.  I have other problems at the moment with private class data corrupting consistently.  This has to do with using 8.20 also (see below) but it's hair-raising at times.  I'm mass compiling every 20 minutes to try to catch these sneaky corruptions.

Don't get me started on trying to build an application with LVOOP.......

It also re-affirms the old rule of thumb of not working with .0 versions of anything.

I'm working in 8.20 for a customer. They don't want to *risk upgrading to 8.2.1*.  :smileymad:  It crashes a lot.

I used LV 6.1 a lot.  Skipped 7.x altogether.  Used 8.2.1 extensively (and now realise how much better it was compared to 8.20).  Will likely move to include 8.5.1 soon.  Patiently awaiting 8.6.1.  Have resisted the urge to even install 8.6.0.  I was kind of bemused to see the CDs actually labelled 8.6.0.  Makes you automatically eager for the new release.

Shane.

So I don't suppose it's free to upgrade to 8.5.1?

No, unfortunately the 8.5.1 upgrade is not free.

If you purchased 8.5, then 8.5.1 would be provided automatically via SSP update. If you purchased an earlier version of LabVIEW and then received 8.5 as an update, it's possible your SSP subscription expired prior to the release of 8.5.1, in which case you would need to renew your subscription to get the update.

Thanks Roy, I'll have to ask our license manager about this.  I'm pretty sure she bought 8.5.
