Thanks, Dave. I am particularly interested in how to handle asynchronous
serial communications. I need to create a VI that will sit on a serial port
waiting for receive data without timing out, parse data as it arrives, and
pass the data to a top level VI that will use the data to control its
activity. This is basically a technique I have implemented in other
programmang languages, and need to do now in LV...Ed
