LAN detection

HI all,

i have  aproblem with an Ethernet Interface Module.

the module is getting supply voltage from a common powersuppy (24v).

By emergency stop, the module is switched off and the LAN is disconnected. but the vi is still running.

Is there any funtion to detect a LAN connection (if the module is switched on again)?

or

is it enough to use the 'TCP Open connection' to  wait till a connection is established?

any help will be appreciated.

You can try to use ping. However, as I noted in this message, ping operates differently based on the OS. In that message I showed simply using TCP Open Connection.
