Characterization Engineer - Job Opening in Dallas TX
Responsibilities:
1) Design hardware and software for characterizing application specific
integrated circuits.
2) Develop test fixtures and programs for all assigned products.
3) Create instrument drivers for lab equipment such as multimeters,
o'scopes, function generators, etc.
4) Provide debug and troubleshooting assistance for product engineers.
5) Write and maintain test procedures.
6) Accurately project capital requirements and provide appropriate
justification for those needs.
7) Provide guidance to Design Engineers regarding how to make products more
testable.

Skills:
1. 2 or more years of recent related experience.
2. Analog/Mixed Signal circ
uit understanding and test methodology.
3. Ability to design and implement tests for electronic products.
4. Component-level troubleshooting and repair skills.
5. 1+ years of LabVIEW experience in a professional environment.
6. Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
7. Written and verbal communication skills.
8. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering BSEE or equivalent
experience.
Additional Skills: helpful but not required
1) National Instruments TestStand experience.
2) C/C++ or VB or similar experience.
3) Experience with Design capture tools such as Veribest, Mentor Graphics
etc.
4) Experience with FPGA/CPLD, Verilog, HDL etc.
