JKI SMO Chart Example

I am trying to explore the JKI SMO Chart UI class.  I am exploring the the Chart[Template].TestLauncher.vi and I am stuck.  Is there a small example showing how to feed data to the chart?  something like a sine wave would be great.  I am not sure how to execute the the tips given in the block diagram (shown below).  Any help/clues are very much appreciated.
