Iterative RMS of multiple arrays

Hi there!

I'm a complete newbie to Labview but I'm having to use it for my final year university project but I've run into a snag that I haven't been able to solve. I'm doing frequency analysis on vibrational modes of a cantilever system to get the graph of voltage output against the frequency of vibration which is fine. What I'm having trouble with is the RMS output voltage which I need to take over multiple runs of the experiment to reduce the effects of noise though I also need it to update after every iteration of the while loop so that over time the graph smooths out into a nice curve.

I have attached what I have so far along with a demonstration of what I need it to do. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi themrfarquad

Could you please upload your code in .vi format so that I can open it up and have a look?

There is a statistics express VI that offers RMS functionality of which I've attached a screenshot.

How would the application know into which frequency ranges to split the RMS analysis? (i.e. would it just be a 1kHz constant between steps?)

Kind Regards

Chris
