Is there a way to copy multiple lines of text into Multiple Variable Editor?

I'm trying to set up my channel names for an EtherCAT system. In LabVIEW I open the Multiple Variable Editor. When I try to copy many rows of names from a text file into the Multiple Variable Editor window I do not get each entry placed into it's own row. Rather all of the rows in the Multiple Variable Editor are the same. 

Has anyone been able to sucessfully copy columns from a text file into the Multiple Variable Editor?
