Is their a way to calculate standard devaition without having to maintian array

Can point by point analysis do this.
intrested how it does as the mean changes for each point

Labview 6.1 as a Point by Point Standard Deviation.vi. as the mean changes point by point labview keeps the values of the sum of each data point, the sum of the squares of each data point and the number of points as scalar values. It then calculate the mean, and standard deviation based on these scalar values. if you have LabVIEW 6.1 you can actually take a look at the diagram yourself.

I was wondering why "Standard Deviation PtByPt.vi" does not incorporate a choice of weighting (by population or sample) similar to "Std Deviation and Variance.vi"? I had to modify "Standard Deviation PtByPt.vi" to produce the desired sample weighted result.
