IrDA and LabVIEW

Has anyone used IrDA with LabView? I would be much obliged to get some VI's
to help me. I'm trying to call Win API functions to achieve this but haven't
succeeded up to now.

CURRENTLY, LabVIEW does not have any built in functionality that will allow you to communicate via
IrDA devices. If you have a driver for the IrDA device
in the form of a DLL you can call it from a Call Library Function utility. You will need to know the function prototypes.

Windows has support for IrDA via Sockets. The required dll is called
ws2_32.dll in the windows\system dir.

I've beeen calling them with the call library vi, and today even had some
succes, except for LV crashing after the communication was succesful. Got
to get my pointers straight.
