Interface with RAM

I have a board with a RAM 1MB chip with a Read Write , adress pins etc.  I am looking for a way to Write Data to this chip and then Read it back.  Not sure how create a port to read the memory and if there are any counters that are needed.

What kind of board?  How are you interfacing with it?  Is it LabVIEW Embedded?  Are you connected to it through Digital IO of a DAQ card?

Some more information would help,

Thanks,

Hi

My DATa aquisition board is a NI-DAQ 6015 fo USB.  with this boards I want to perform a series of test in RAM chip. The chip is a 32 pin 1MB statitc ram.  I want to perform read and write operations on this chip using labview    and by able to display them.  But I am not sure how to do write data and read it back and also if I would need a counter. Maybe starting with a single READ write operation would help.

Thank You

Alfonso

Hi Alfonso,

I think a good place to start would be with the shipping examples found in LabVIEW from: Help >> Find Examples >> Hardware Input and Output >> DAQmx >> and look at the digital folders.  That should at least get you started!

Good luck!
