Instrument simulation

I would really be glad if anybody here could help to show me how to simulate an instrument in LabVIEW environment. this problem has prevent me  from working outside the Laboratary

Depends on the instrument and the driver. Typically you can do this using IVI drivers since the IVI specification allows for simulation in an instrument driver. Do you know if there's an IVI driver for your instrument?

Instead of simulating the device you also could use the VISA server to access your instrument from remote. VISA server allows you to make your local resources like serial or GPIB interfaces available over the network so you could work in your office while talking to your real instrument that is connected to your PC in the lab.
