I have a question regarding the installation of my application software written in LV 2012. Up to now, I had no problems with my customers with the installation packages of the previous versions of this app. Recently I released the last version of the app and, as usual, I created the .exe and the installation package including the run-time engine 2012. I tested the installation package on different computers, after uninstalling the previous version of my software (also leaving or uninstalling the National Instruments software). One of the tested computers was new and without previous installation of LV: everything worked fine in all cases. After that, I sent the new installation package to my customers ad at the moment nobody apparently had problems, except one of them!
He had the previous version of my app, so as suggested by the "readme" file I included, first of all, he uninstalled the previous version and after that installed the new one: when launching the .exe a window appears with "loading: C:\Program Files (x86)\ ...\monotonicità1.vi and in the same window: Searching C:\Program Files (x86)\ ...\instr.lib and at the bottom: Ignore Item, Ignore All, Browse, Stop.
Needless to say that the .exe has a broken arrow and it doesn't work.
After many attempts to uninstall/reinstall also in a second computer, it seems there's no way to solve the problem. Also reinstalling the previous release of the App, verifying that it works, and changing the .exe, results are the same.
By the way, "monotonicità1.vi" which is apparently missed, is a very basic "vi" with very simple arithmetic, boolean, comparison and array operators.
Does somebody have some suggestions ?
