Hi,
Is there a simple way, to "always" get a timestamp in the english language? I live in Holland, and my timestamp gives: 10-OKT-2012 but it should be: 10-OCT-2012. Now i can change the country settings and get the right timestamp, but i don't want, because my software will be installed on several "dutch" PC's...
I can get the month number and hook it up to an array to get the right "english" month, but isn't there an easier way?
Best regards,
Thijs Boeree

I think that you will need to create a lookup table as you suggested.
There is a discussion on the LAVA forums about common date formatters that you may want to follow:

I certainly agree. Using anything other tha ISO-8601 in my mind is just asking for trouble.
See my signature below for a format string to convert a timestamp to and from a string with no ambiguity (uses zulu or GMT time).
