In Place Element structure incrementing numbers, bug or feature?

Why on Earth does the In Place Element structure increment numbers? Is that a bug or a feature? I didn't find any documentation about it. How do I wire it correctly, without incrementing? LV2019.

It doesn't.

 

There may be some weird display settings on either your indicator or control.
