Image navigator

I am new to Labview and have purchased the DCS module. The module comes with an image navigator, but the images are not controls. The controls pallette that comes with the DCS module is very limited. I am creating an application that will look like an HMI with lots of buttons and switches. The buttons and switches will be linked to PLC I/O through the opc server. I am used to HMI software where a graphic has properties that can be linked to a PLC tag. How can I link an image to a tag? Is there a way take an image and make it a control?

Check the LV help for the details but in a nut-shell.

Find your image and export it as a wmf file.

Drop a new control then pop-up and selected advanced costumize.

Switch to edit mode and pop-up on the control and select import image from file.
