Ignore front Panel events when in a specific event in an event structure

I would like to see an option in the event structure which allows a user to ignore front panel events (events are not put into a queue) until the event is completed. A second part of this feature would include adding a list of controls (or perhaps an event?) that could still respond to front panel events (Like a button that quits the event).
