IEEE 488 card configuration file

I've had the primary PC's operating system, which contains my working LabVIEW program, develop some problems and I can only reboot in safe mode. I'm in the process of saving everything I can for a transfer to the new system. I've read http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/EA00227D63B72A6F8625698F006F6094?OpenDocument that describes transferring the niconfig.daq file and was quite helpful since I'm using NI PCI-8330 MXI-3 board with NI PXI-8330 MXI-3 interface module.
My question is I also have an IEEE488 card that needs to be transfered over to the new system. I'm wondering if the setup for my IEEE488 card in the old system in contained within the niconfig.daq file or does it have it's own unique setup file.
Any info would me greatly appreciated....

tks, Terry

If the GPIB card (IEEE488) is a National Instruments one, reinstalling the NI drivers (NI-488.2 I think)  should be sufficient. It really doesn't require configuration as such. In Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) clicking on Devices and Interfaces will refresh its record of the GPIB cards address.

I'm not sure what kind of setup for the GPIB card you expect to have. If it's a PCI board and you're using a modern version of Windows, then the OS's plug&play feature will take care of things such as interupts, etc. If you're using VISA aliases in your program, they are contained in the \VXIpnp\WinNT\NIvisa\visaconf.ini file.
