I can view but no control a remote front panel why ?

I try to view and control a front panel of a test vi remote via the Netscape Browser on a second PC.
The test vi is a simple one with only a Start and a Stop button.
I selected in the Tools->Options->Web Server:Browser Access: Allow Viewing and Controlling.
I view the front panel on my remote (second PC) machine but, I cannot control it,(press the Start and Stop button) why ?
On both PC's LabView 6.1 and NT4.0 is running.

A second question:
I have a Top Level vi that open, run and closes different vi's via Open/Close VI Reference a.s.o.
Are the the Front Panels of the opened VI's viewable and controlable from a Browser if i handle/connect only the Top Level vi ?

Hopefully

Hello Peter,

I believe you need to right click on the VI in your browser and ask for control.

In answer to your second question, I think you will have trouble if you are using references to call the subVIs. If you directly link them (via wiring the subVI connector pane - the classic pop-up subVI) they should work.

Doug
