Humidity and Reset Power

Hi, I'd like to ask the following questions:

A. Humidity

The data obtained from the Field Point (FP-AI-C0220) have to be converted by some equation so that the correct current value of humidity will be shown on screen.

Question:
1. What is the equation for the humidity for that Field point?
2. What is the equation for temperature?
3. Is it different equation for the temperature/humidity if I use different Field Point?

B. Reset Power
For example, the A/C unit, it is already in running state. However, it is suddenly down. It does not necessarily mean that there is no current passsing through the A/C.

Question
1.How can I do so that I can reset the A/C? Is it shut down the A/C first and then apply current again? Or any
other good idea? It would be very great if you can give me the block diagram. (Of course, it can be in JPEG format)

Thanks for your help.

Xavier,

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for in terms of equations. If you are looking for an equation to convert the current that you read from the FP-AI-C020 to a humidity or a temperature then that will be completely dependent on your sensor. This equation shouldn't change between different I/O modules. If you are reading temperature I highly recommend using the FP-TC-120 instead of the FP-AI-C020 since it will automatically calculate the temperature based on the type of thermocouple you are using.

Regarding the A/C unit, what does change when the A/C unit is down? If it is possible that the current won't change if the unit is down then that is probably not what you want to monitor. What I/O module you want to monitor the A/C unit will depend on
what variable changes so that you know it is not running. Regarding turning on and off the unit, look into the FP-RLY I/O modules.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I am looking for the equation to convert the current value from the FP-AI-C020 module to humidity(%). It would be very very great if you kindly tell me.

When the A/C unit is down, there is no current passing throught the A/C. Current must be changed. That is the solely thing. As for the module, I have subscribe the FP-DO-AC240. That module is used to output signal from the LabView so as to reset the A/C. Could you please explain the different between FP-DO-AC240 and FP-RLY which one is the best? As for the block diagram of doing the reset function, I really don't know which switch is suitable.

Thanks for you help

Xavier,

The equation to convert the current value to a humidity (%) is completely dependent on your sensor. Check the documentation for your sensor to find that equation.

You can think of the FP-DO-AC240 and the FP-RLY-420 as functioning nearly the same for AC signals. In the ON state you will see your AC signal and in the OFF state it won't be connected. My recommendation would be the FP-RLY-420 because I have had good experiences with it, but either should work fine.
