How to record the data from waveform chart as text file ?

Hi!

I am new user of labview and i have some problems. Pls help me explain how to do. 

I am receiving the data from other device through RS 232 and display as wavefrom chart.

When i press button i want to start saving the data from waveform chart. how can i do that?

Pls advice me..

I think you would have to save your files as the xls extention

if you go to your example finder in labview and search excel there are alot of examples on how to send data to excel
