How to get FP color when adding FP image to HTML report

When adding a FP image to an HTML report, the text color is correct but the actual FP color is gray. Cannot understand why as the VIs just create a jpeg of the FP. Is it possible I am using a color not supported by the hardcoded image depth of '8'?

Hi Rick,

I assume you're using LabVIEW 8.0, because what you're describing is a bug in 8.0 that has been fixed for the next LabVIEW release.  For your reference, the bug report ID is 3R3F7UA3.

Thank you -I assume you mean whatever comes after 8.0.1, right?

Thanks, Rick

To my knowledge, the bug will be fixed in 8.1.  I do not know of plans for it to be fixed in any subsequent 8.0.x maintenance releases.

As a workaround, you can put down a front panel decoration (i.e. Raised Box) and make it span the size of your front panel.  Color the decoration whatever color you want, and it should then print correctly.  Basically, LabVIEW 8.0 doesn't print the front panel of the VI correctly.  However, it does print the color of front panel decorations correctly!

Hope this helps,

Travis, Darren-

Thanks for all your help. Once you get the hang of the HTML tags, you can create a pretty slick report real time.
