How to connect compactRio 9004 to my PC directly?

I have compactRIO 9004 controller, PC. what I want to do is to conect PC and CompactRIO directly using ethernet cable, but MAX cannot recgonize the CompactRIO device. Does  any one have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Test Engineer,

Are you using a crossover cable?  Is the status light blinking on the controller when it is powered on?  What are you DIP switches set to?  What version of NI-RIO are you using?

No, I use standard ethernet cable.

No, status was not blinking.

All switch set to off state.

What I want is just to communicate between PC and  CRio without internet service.

Hi Test Engineer,

You must use a crossover cable to directly connect the CompactRIO directly to your PC.  The KB I linked to in my last post goes in to more detail.
