How to completely install the FRC.

NI engineer:

Hello, it‘s my honor to have a chance to ask you some questiones. Recently I have been interested in using kinect to do gesture tracking. And I have got a API which is pasted in attachments. And I found that if I want to use this  I must install FRC. And I really need to use the VI this attachments which can save many work for me, but I met some problems when I try to install  FRC module. my LabVIEW version is 2010, and I download the 2010 FRC, but after I installing this module. There is no change to my Labview. So my question is how to install the FRC and run the API in my attachments. Or what is the running request of the API.

Hope to hear you soon, thanks.

If you are not part of the FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition), you will not be able to use the FRC tools.  They are not designed to work with anything other than the hardware supplied to FRC teams.  Are you part of an FRC team, or is this an independent project?

Nathand, Thanks for answer my question. Actually, I'm not a member of FRC, but I'm really interested in Labview, and recently I want to run the examples which is in my attanchments in Labview. Also, I have bought a Kinect, and I want to use this examples to control my Kinect to do gesture tracking. So do i have any way to solve this problem.

Without the FRC hardware and libraries, which are only available to FRC teams, you cannot use the examples attached to your message.

Have you searched this forum for "Kinect"?  There are several threads with links to documentation and examples which do not require the FRC tools.
