How to calibrate Thermocouple with FieldPoint modules Calibration

I would appreciate for any help regarding calibrating TC and the FP modules.
We are trying to eliminate the use of mechanical chart recorders by using
LV.

However, I am not really sure how to correctly calibrate the TC and FP.
I was told to use a high accuracy Volt meter to monitor a voltage calibrator
that's connected directly to the FieldPoint terminals. The suggested calibration
procedure is by using the emf-temperature table for the specific TC type.
Is this an acceptable method (may be per ISO 17025)? How can I calculate
the accuracy and uncertainty values.
Any help is very much appreciated.

whenever we have calibrated thermocouples, we have used either a specific
thermocouple calibrator that will output the appropriate voltage for a
thermocouple type and temperature or an actual temperature well to calibrate
the actual thermocouple as well.
