Hi,
I have connected my Siemens S7-1200 PLC to Labview OPC Server 2012 successfully. I can monitor the variable using Quick Client.
Now I want to have this variable in my vi. I made a new VI and using the Data Binding, But when I try to bind this variable to my OPC item I get the following Error:
Does anybody know what is the problem?
Regards
A Labview DSC module is required, with which the OPC server is supplied. The message indicates a malfunction: the lack of a license.
Thanks Borjom. So I need DSC Module to bind my variables to OPC items! Before than this I had used OPC with Easy OPC a product of Moeller which could simply be used by Data Binding. Seems things have changed!
So would you please give me a start point to learn about DSC and how I can use OPC Items using this module?
Regards
You do not have to do anything. The problem is only in the license. First, check if the license for NI OPC is active.
But I have installed OPC Server 2012 without installing DSC Module.
Hi All,
I can bind my variable to an OPC, and no error. But now the problem is when I using OPC Quick client to monitor the tag I set, the data I get same with what I set into the PLC (Mitsubishi FX3G), when I using LabVIEW VI to monitor the same tag, the data I get is 0. Can anyone help? Thanks
I am not using DSC runtime system and is it necessary to have it?
Best Regards,
Sam
