How do i create sigma notation?

Hmmm....i need some help with creating simple sigma notation some thing like this the 1 in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summation, under Capital sigma notation, 2nd 1.

I KNOW HOW! But this looks like homework...Can you post what you have at least tried? A tip...you will need to use shift registers and a loop.

Whats shift registers? Sry but my knowledge of LabView is limited to the 4 mathematical signs...

To create the sigma notation in a string constant, set the font to Symbol and type upper case S.  Like this: S

I think you may have misunderstood the question. My impression is that the OP is just trying to display the character that is called "sigma", not to do the actual calculation. Kind of like typing away in, say, Mathematica.

Ya i do. Thx for the image. But erm can u tell me what is the 2 orange up and down arrow is, and the bottom right green circle. Lol sry, u can just tell me the name of it, i will search it.

Shift register. Loop condition terminal.
