Vision Assistant does not currently have the ability to create coordinate systems. You can either generate LabVIEW code from your Vision Assistant script and insert the coordinate system VIs, or use Vision Builder for Automated Inspection to set up a coordinate system.

Hi dmp

I am using NI vision builder. It is able to get the co-ordinates of an object. But after exporting it to labview, how to link the co-ordinates to my existing labview program? Do you have any tutorial, guides or picture to show me?

thanks in advance

Hello khsay,

Thank you for contacting National instruments.  There are a couple shipping examples that demonstrate how to use coordinate systems in LabVIEW.  Open the Example Finder, and search for "calibration."  The Simple Calibration Example demonstrates how to work with calibrated images in LabVIEW.

Normally once calibration is applied to an image (using IVB Calibration Code.VI thats generated from VBAI), the calibration information is stored in the image datatype so that any subsequent processing VIs will use the calibration information.
