How do I re-enable a device after checking "Device enabled" for VISA port COM1

Hi there,
I just get started with LabVIEW and played around with the functions and settings in MAX. Doing that I hit the 'Device enabled' box for my COM1 device. So now it is disenabled and I cannot make any changes or use it. How can I re-enable it or set it back to default settings? I attached a screenshot, where you can see that the box to enable the device is inactive.

i have no problem to disable it and enable it later. Which version of MAX do you use?

I use version 4.1.0.3001 of MAX.

i tried it with MAX 4.3.

Do you have any idea how to solve the problem? I tried a few other ways to set the properties but nothing worked. (I have to admit that I have not really a clue of LabVIEW yet, since I'm working with it the third time only. So I probably missed some possiblities.)

did you restart MAX and tried it again?

Done that, restarted LabVIEW, restarted the PC, nothing worked...

i think there is another problem, because of your question mark. Did you install the driver for your device?

I want to try to deinstall MAX. Do you know if that is possible without deinstalling labview entirely?
