How do I get instantaneous value from waveform

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I have a sin generator wired into a waveform display.  I would like to be able to acquire the instantaneous amplitude (by instantaneous amplitude, I mean what is being generated now -- you could think of it as the most recent vaue generated as well) from the sin generator and be able to display it on the front panel (I will also use the value to do some other calculations).  I have tried several approaches and can't seem to continously get an instantaneous amplitude value out of my waveform.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

Hi!

Are you just looking for the most recent (or last) value from a sine wave generator?

last value in an array.jpg

Or am I misunderstanding the question?

Knickerbocker,

Lazy-man's tip. Delete from Array will remove the last element in an array if you leave the index un-wired. Smiley Wink

Awesome, yes!  This is what I was looking for.  I've been struggling for a week with this thing trying for loops and all sorts of crazyness!
