How do I connect input wires to a vi which is to be opened in a subpanel?

I am trying to connect input wires to a subVi which I want to open inside the subPanel of the main vi frontpanel. It does not seem to work so far...I can't find the right tool. Is there any way how I can do this?

Hi

You can do it, but not the "usual" way. You have to use VI server to open a reference to the SubVI and then use methods like "Set Control Value" or "Set Control Value [Variant]".
