i still need to thank you for you input in my last post since from there i was able to take my task further and it help me understand labview arrays more deeply. i am sorry not to havequoted your reply as the solution to my post at first, i complitely got it wrong. but here i am experincing another trouble. what i needed to have many tab in my final program. the first tab will show the data plotting as bar chart for each channel, the second tab page will show a picture of the plant which will highlight specific point and popup some message as the mouse moves and get click on the picture. i was able to that working. the problem is that, when i run the program on the page having the waveform for the channel the code there get run,when i change the page to go to the page with the picture, and move my mouse around nothing happen and if i go back to the first page the control and indicator there get frozen and i cannot go back to the second page. i am using an event structure to handle mouse movement on the second tab.at first i thought something was wrong with te event structure.but after i use another vi with tab control putting the same code i use for the acquisiton i could see the same behavior.i mean when u change the tab code on the other tab is not executing anymore.
my explanation my not be that clear, but i have attached the vi i am actually working on.
