How can I read one pin from a DB25 using LABVIEW

I am trying to read signals fro sensors using a DB25 cable.  I dont know how to read each independent pin of the DB25 using LABVIEW.  Each pin of the DB25 will give me a different output.  How can I independently read them?
Thank you

What type of hardware in the pc are you connecting the cable to? LabVIEW can't read anything unless you physically connect the cable to something and it really doesn't matter that you have a DB25 connector at the other end.

Ruben,

A DB-25 is just a connector. You need to know what is connected to each of the pins. What kinds of voltages are being generated by your sensors? Are the signals analog or digital? Do they adhere to some known standard such as RS-232?

Until you have that information we cannot answer your question. Most likely LabVIEW can do what you want, but you may need additional equipment depending on the nature of the measurements you want to make.

Please tell us what computer OS, what version of LV, and what measurement hardware you have in addition to the information about your signals.

Thank you all for your fast response.  I think I already have the answer to my question.  I am usgin LABVIEW 8.2 with a UMI-7764 stepper motor controller.  I have a controller board inside the PC and I am using some of the pins of the DB25 to control the motor (the control of the motor is done once just for positioning) and the rest of the pins to read sensors.  I am pretty sure the outputs of the sensors are TTL.  I think the board will take care of it when I finally finish the VI.
