How Intuitive Is My Button?

Can you tell it's intended meaning?

Looks like you click to open a file dialog.  But I think it's only intuitive to people who are used to seeing the LabVIEW path button.  Not sure if that graphic is universal or not.

Gee, that's not what I intended it to mean.

Are we supposed to push it?  🙂

since your signature says that buttons are meant to be pressed, I pressed right after opening.

to me looks like a toggle button absolute path / relative path

but that after pressing, before I felt like it was related to path but it's only now as I'm typing this message that I realize you might have meant "absolute value"

if that's what you meant, I think it's not obvious.

depends on your audience.

I have no idea what that means.

Maybe if I saw it in context on your panel it would make sense but alone it does not.

I feel like I'd need to see it on a panel as well, but a few things come to mind- the "non pressed" state reminds me of either a file path, a "Share" button, or "connect something". The "pressed state" also looks like it's related to a file path but could also be related to "not connected". More context could help.

Well, my question is answered: It's not very intuitive.  Here is a picture of it in context:
