HSDIO Generation using HWS File on multiple PXI-6551

Hello,

  I created a HWS file using the digital waveform editor. It has more than 20 waveforms. My PXI-6551 can only support 20 channels. So, I'm going to have to split up the waveforms between two PXI-6551 DAQ cards. Is there an example will break up the HWS file between the two cards and synchronize the cards so that the complete waveform is generated. Thanks -Andy

Hi Andy,

I just posted an example on our community site that shows how to write on HWS file with more than 20 channels to two HSDIO devices with synchronization (Tclk).  You may need to make some modifications to the code but it should show you how to properly split the loaded HWS file and output the specified signal to the corresponding devices.  If you have any questions please let me know!
