Graphing - Using Text Labels on the X Axis

I am trying to create a Run Chart that shows the result of a parameter vs. the units’ serial number.  For example if I wanted to graph the number of apple, oranges and grapes sold on a particular day I would have Apples, Oranges and Grapes going across my x axis and qty of each going up the y axis.  I have attached a simple sample of what I am trying to do but in Excel.  I just cannot figure out how to make the x axis accept strings.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

I would hide the x-axis and place a horizontal slide underneath the graph set to text lables (You can hide the slide and only show its scale).

Keep the ranges between the hidden x-axis and the scale axis sychronized via property nodes.

I agree that it would be nice to have graph axes with text labels. There are many possible uses.

Well, Christian is again faster. 😠
But that's normal : as a 3 gold bar official enthusiast he must be more efficient.
Anyway here is the solution I was developing, since a piece of code is always better than a lot of explanations 😉 🙂

The slide idea is nice but when you use the graph zoom from the graphs palette controls how would you sync up the property nodes?
