Global variable not being updated!

I have a vi and in the front panel I have knob called Frequency (Hz) which can have a value of 0 to 3 inclusive. It updates a global variable Fselect I then read this global variable and the value that I read is always 0 even when I have turned the frequency knob to give outa different value.

Whats going on? I can't seem to debug this and I'm sure it was working earlier.

I've tried in my pc and the it seems to be working. I putted a probe on the global variable on the lower cycle and when I change the freq, it updates also the value on the prob.

When the inner-most while loop is running, you will not see an update on the global variable in the lower loop.  It will only update after the inner-most while loop is stopped.
