Function generator triggering

I am new to Labview and am not sure if I can do the following in this way.  I have an arbitrary waveform that involves several up and down ramps, along with some time between ramps with a flat, constant voltage.  This isn't a fast signal, as the entire period of the arbitrary wave is over a second long.  I have another function generator that is supposed to output sine waves at various frequencies during the ramping phases of the arbitrary wave, and I am trying to sync this up.  I have the trigger from the arbitraty waveform plugged into the sine wave generator.  Due to my current hardware constraints, only the sine wave generator is connected to the computer running Labview with a GPIB-USB controller.  Can I read the trigger signal through the sine wave generator in Labview in order to trigger the sine wave functions?

it depends on the hardware (if you are using hardware triggering) or the specific devices.

Can you give us more details?
